Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (Partner Organization)

The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), established in 1977 under the auspices of UNESCO, is a unique regional inter-governmental organization servicing countries of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) in the field of electronic media development. It is hosted by the Government of Malaysia and the secretariat is located in Kuala Lumpur. The Institute enjoys a membership of 26 countries, 94 affiliates and 58 partners in Asia, Pacific, Europe and North America as of December 2010.

DW Akademie (Partner Organization)

DW Akademie is the center of media development of Deutsche Welle, the international multimedia broadcaster from Germany. DW Akademie provides training for media professionals and consults media organizations around the world. It also supports local institutions that offer media training and journalism education in many countries of Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. DW Akademie believes that good journalism and professional media is at the heart of any free and open society.

MMDC Opens Enrollment for ‘Taste of TV’ Batch 14

Myanmar Media Development Center (MMDC) officially announces the opening of it’s month-long program --- ‘Taste of TV’. Enrollment begins on 1st July 2015 while classes start on 25th July 2015. ‘Taste of TV’ provides great opportunities for students to discover and learn the basic aspects of TV production, from scriptwriting to production management, from communication to presentation skills, from audio to lighting design, from camera operation to video editing. Now on it’s thirteenth batch , ‘Taste of TV’ students get to receive hands-on training from experienced media and broadcast professionals --- all are experts in their respective fields, here and abroad. It is being run in partnership with Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) and DW Akademie.
